As our Financial Manager for South Africa (m/f/d), you will be the cornerstone of our financial operations in this exciting market. You will provide the essential structure for financial planning, reporting, and budget management to ensure HYROX continues to scale successfully. Reporting directly to the global CFO and the local Managing Director, you will balance high-level strategic oversight with hands-on financial execution. This is an ideal role for a finance professional who wants to take full ownership of a regional entity’s finances and grow alongside a world-class sports brand.
Financial Management & Reporting: Oversee monthly financial management and provide accurate, timely financial reporting to the MD and global leadership.
Compliance & Governance: Ensure full financial compliance with local South African regulations and global HYROX standards.
Operations & Transactions: Take ownership of payment processing, invoicing, and fund collection to maintain healthy cash flow.
Budgeting & Cost Control: Manage the regional budget, implement cost management strategies, and perform detailed payroll reviews.
Strategic Planning: Support the Managing Director with financial insights to drive regional growth and operational efficiency.
Experience: Proven experience in accounting or financial management, ideally within an international or event-based environment.
Technical Skills: Strong background in financial reporting, local compliance, and budgeting.
Mindset: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a dynamic, high-growth setting.
Collaboration: Ability to partner effectively with local leadership (MD) and global finance functions (CFO).
Qualifications: Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA(SA), CIMA) are a major advantage.
Languages: English on C-Level; additional languages are a plus.
Location: Based in South Africa.
